REMEMBER

December moves along to a new year

a new start where to remember is unheard of,

why look to journals

why look back to tears 

that fell in the silence of a quiet space

no one heard them

no one wrote about them

face the door of possibility

test the handle

open it and breathe new air,

then write down each hope

that will be remembered in time.
