Sunlight on an open page

thinking it means something

a message from some otherness

but it is not

windows open let in the breeze

as well as the sunlight

the blank page could be filled

with memories, with thoughts,

maybe doubts that grow to truth

but all I see is branches swaying

outside my window

nothing but sunlight on an open page.
