New Poem

A TIME FOR...

Benediction comes in bits of wafers, drops of wine
that stain your thoughts, confuse this cold summer day
outside my window seagulls fly in threes

is this a message I should read more into? they let me know
the sea, the sea, the sea awaits, depths ebb,
and then a time for loneliness

which passes under my feet, I miss it, name it silence
words are here too, a time for paper and pen
writing down the movements of clouds,

where are they going?
can I come?
leaving my books behind,

leaving a thought at my window
looking down from some star I imagine
writing after a long winter, writing after daydreams fade.
