Poems 8 & 9

EIGHT

San Francisco rooftops
lost in blue silhouettes,
morning voices
down fire-escapes
reading Welsh poems

NINE

Camus
the plague,
madrigal wind
plunges us beyond
meaning,
endless struggle
between abstraction
and inquiry,
watching life imagined
